Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and standards for using Sideline Command ("GC," "the Service"). This policy supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all users, including coaches, parents, referees, league administrators, and spectators.
Sideline Command is a youth flag football management platform. All use of the Service should reflect the values of youth sports: sportsmanship, safety, inclusivity, and respect.
2. Permitted Uses
The Service is intended for:
- Managing youth and amateur flag football teams, leagues, and events
- Creating and organizing playbooks, formations, and game strategies
- Managing team rosters and player information
- Running game day operations (scoring, play calling, clock management)
- Communicating with team members, parents, and league officials
- Tracking player development, skills, and game statistics
- Scheduling games, assigning referees, and managing league operations
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
3.1 Harassment & Abuse
- Bully, harass, threaten, or intimidate any user, including children, parents, coaches, or referees
- Send abusive, hostile, or threatening messages through the messaging system
- Engage in discriminatory conduct based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Target or single out individual players (who are minors) for criticism or ridicule
3.2 Inappropriate Content
- Upload or share obscene, sexually explicit, or violent content
- Use profanity, slurs, or hate speech in team names, player names, play names, or messages
- Upload images that are inappropriate for a youth sports environment
- Create offensive or discriminatory team names, logos, or player nicknames
3.3 Fraud & Deception
- Create fake accounts or impersonate other coaches, parents, referees, or officials
- Provide false information about players (age, eligibility) to gain competitive advantage
- Misrepresent your role or authority within a team or league
- Use the Service for gambling, betting, or wagering on youth sports
3.4 Data & Security Violations
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or features you are not authorized to use
- Circumvent security measures, rate limits, authentication, or access controls
- Share or expose other users' personal information outside the Service
- Use API access (if provided) beyond documented rate limits or approved use cases
3.5 Commercial Misuse
- Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit Sideline Command's default system playbooks or plays
- Use the Service to promote unrelated commercial products or services
- Send spam or unsolicited marketing through the messaging system
- Create automated bots or scripts that interact with the Service without authorization
3.6 Illegal Activity
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates local, state, or federal law
- Facilitate or promote illegal activities
- Violate the privacy rights of others, especially minors
4. Content Standards
4.1 Messaging
The in-app messaging system is for team and league communication only. Messages should be:
- Relevant to team management, game coordination, or league operations
- Respectful and professional in tone
- Appropriate for a youth sports environment (parents and minors may be reading)
4.2 Team & Player Names
- Team names must not contain profanity, slurs, or offensive references
- Player names must reflect the player's actual name (nicknames are acceptable if not offensive)
- Play names and playbook names should be appropriate for a youth sports context
4.3 Photos & Images
- Player photos must be appropriate and related to the sport
- Team logos should not contain offensive imagery
- You must have appropriate consent to upload photos of minors (see our Children's Privacy Notice)
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this policy, please report it immediately:
- Email: support@sidelinecommand.com with the subject line "AUP Violation Report"
- Include as much detail as possible: the user involved, what happened, when it occurred, and any screenshots or evidence
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports can be submitted anonymously.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this policy will be addressed through a graduated enforcement process:

We reserve the right to skip levels and proceed directly to suspension or termination for severe violations. In cases involving the safety of minors, we may also notify relevant authorities.
7. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing support@sidelinecommand.com with the subject "AUP Appeal" within 14 days of the action. Include your account information and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect. We will review appeals within 10 business days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
